Second Baseman Pitches
Yesterday the Philadelphia Phillies and the Cincinnati Reds played a marathon-like game lasting 19 innings. The Phillies ran out of pitchers so they pitched their second baseman! Now, being an infielder myself, I just about gave up hope of pitching on my 5th grade baseball team. This game gave me new hope!

Rafe, there is always hope! Michael (my son) wasn't put in as a pitcher until he was about 12 years old. He wanted to pitch so badly, so he practiced and practiced and now he is a starting pitcher for his high school team, Walsh Jesuit. Keep working at it...you can do it!!!
